The Prithvi Innovations in collaboration with GIDF Club of IIPM Lucknow organized a blood donation camp as a part of the National Youth Day Celebrations. 12th January marks the birthday of Swami Vivekananda and is observed as the National Youth Day. The ideal way to commemorate the 1st day of the week long events was by conducting a Blood Donation camp and creating awareness of the importance of blood donation. That is exactly what the students of GIDF CLUB of IIPM Lucknow did.
The creative and innovative students of IIPM brought out colorful posters highlighting the importance of blood donation with catchy slogans which motivated the students to come forward and donate blood. Students were actively participating thus increasing the overall enthusiasm. They queued up and waited patiently while the doctor did the preliminary checking. For many students it was the first experience of donating blood, so a sense of satisfaction was clearly visible as they were contributing towards a noble cause. The doctors and the staff of Vivekanand Polyclinic extended their full cooperation to make the camp a success. The combined efforts of all concerned resulted in the good collection of blood units, thereby making the event a success and eradicating the myths about Blood Donation.
